All services start with an evaluation of your pup's skin & coat so I know which shampoo &/or conditioner that I will use to best benefit their needs. All services include the shampoo & conditioner (if necessary), a towel & blow dry, brush out, nail clipping & buffing if the dog allows it, paw pad hydration lotion, & ear cleaning. The main difference in the packages is whether or not your dog requires a haircut in addition to the bath services.
Sure! I provide all inclusive pricing. This means that your pooch gets the full pampering services they deserve! The right shampoo & conditioner they need in addition to several other services at no extra charge! This even includes nail painting, nail art, bows, bowties, & ties at your request! ***All prices are subject to coat quality, temperament, &/or flea treatment fees***
Dogs requiring shave downs due to matting need to be shaved prior to the bath. Shampoo & water cannot adequately reach the skin to soothe & cleanse it. These grooms take longer & are harder on both the dog & my equipment than those dogs who are on a regular 4, 6, or 8 week schedule. Though, sometimes we get lucky and the matting is not too severe & might be salvageable. De-matting a dog is a slow, methodical process which requires much more time & patience from your pooch. It is always my goal to save the coat when possible, but if the matts are too close to the skin to where de-matting would cause pain & irritation, shaving is the only option.
Dogs with poor table manners are a risk both to me & themselves. Often, dogs try to bite or swat at equipment which can lead to injuries. Sometimes when going for the equipment they bite the groomer instead. And others simply cannot sit still but aren't aggressive at all. (For these pups, I always recommend working with a professional dog trainer). These pooches take much more time for safety & retraining purposes. If the temperament is too severe for me to feel safe grooming your pup, I will recommend alternative options based on their behavior. **Please note, a temperament fee is not always permanent. Many dogs improve over time as they become more accustomed to me & the process. I'll never rush your pooch through the groom just to get the job done. If they need a break, they'll get one! Your dog's mental health is just as important to me as their physical health.**
This service is only meant for those dogs whose owners were unaware that fleas were present on their dog prior to booking an appointment. Any flea bath I provide puts a full stop to the remainder of my day as an immediate flea bomb and full deep clean sanitization of my van is required to prevent the spread of fleas, eggs, & larva. All dogs scheduled after such an appointment will be moved either to the next business day or weekend if necessary.
Yes! Because I evaluate your dog's skin & coats needs, as well as listening to your concerns for your dog's health, I use a variety of luxury brand & high end quality shampoos & conditioners that address sensitive, dry, greasy, and itchy skin. And don't worry, I've got something for my super shedders too! I am also happy to bathe your pup in any vet prescribed shampoo, provided the instructions come with it. I WILL NOT use any human shampoos, conditioners, or other made-for-human products on your dog. Please let me know if your dog has any special needs when booking an appointment.
No. All dogs currently receiving medical treatment for conditions such as ear infections, conjunctivitis, any sort of parasitic infections, mange, just to name a few, must complete their medicine first. Please let me know the day the last dose of medicine was given when booking an appointment.
No. I do not groom female dogs in heat as it's a sanitation issue, I do not groom pregnant dogs due the potential risk of losing the litter, & female dogs should not be groomed before the newborn pups are fully weaned off of their mother; approximately 8 weeks. If your dog is at the 8 week mark I'm happy to groom her for you, just please provide a note from your vet stating it is safe for her to return for grooming services.
If you need to reschedule or cancel, you may do so up to a full 24 hours prior to your dog's appointment. You may reach out to me via email, text, or phone call to do so. Appointments requiring rescheduling or cancellation less than a full 24 hour notice require a $25.00 deposit in order to reserve a future booking.
I follow two rules: 1) if schools close, so do I. 2) if a state of emergency is called, I must adhere to state law & stay off the roads. You will be immediately notified & given my next soonest appointment. On days where schools are only opening an hour or two later or there is an early dismissal, I will do my best to get to all of my appointments, but some may need to be rescheduled. My vehicle is rear wheel drive and very heavy, so safety first.
I accept all major credit cards (Visa, MC, Amex), debit cards, Apple Pay, & personal checks. I do NOT accept cash for the grooming service itself but you can tip this way. You can also leave an electronic tip when paying via credit card.
While I am happy to invite you to see the inside of my van, it is in the best interest of your pup to reduce as many distractions as possible. It makes it easier to gain their trust and for them to relax.
No I'm sorry, I do not.
